Practicing gratitude

Practice gratitude daily. And feel better for it.

Who are you grateful for (people)?

Where have you been (in the world)?

What have you seen (ever)?

What have you done (today)?

Why Gratitude?

To maintain happiness / wellbeing; it’s important to focus on and celebrate, what you have. Everyday. Opening up your heart to being thankful for the smallest of things, can bring about a whole lot of joy.

Because there is always something to be thankful for

From people, to memories; to the little moments that make up your day – wonderful moments are always there, if you look for them.

Gratitude, or, an “attitude of”, has been shown to decrease stress levels and improve our overall sense of happiness. Practicing gratitude helps to increase positive thoughts, which leads to increased happiness.

People who express their gratitude, and appreciation for others, ensure friends and family feel loved and valued’.

GRATITUDE in MOTION

There are many ways to begin a gratitude practice:

  • Put pen to paper to express and celebrate your gratitude.
  • Start one on your own or with family and friends.
  • Ask loved ones to share what they are grateful for over a meal or each night before bed.
  • Inspire others to embrace the benefits of gratitude and enjoy the journey together.
  • If you choose to journal your gratitude, start by capturing three things – big or small – that you’re grateful for.
  • Above all, don’t forget to enjoy the little things.

 Focus on the good…

WHAT IF YOU WOKE UP TODAY WITH ONLY THE THINGS YOU WERE GRATEFUL FOR YESTERDAY?

Gratitude is simple. It doesn’t need to be bought or overthought. Part of practicing gratitude – and setting intentions – is to find a few moments of gratitude for things that happen daily.

Find time for simple pleasures, such as enjoying a cup of tea, a morning walk, a great hug, or an inspiring conversation with someone special.

If you don’t, you’re just wanting. Wanting, wanting and wanting. Not finding the peace or gratitude in your life.

IT IS NOT JOY THAT MAKES US GRATEFUL, IT IS GRATITUDE THAT MAKES US JOYFUL.
