In 2019, when we think of Christmas and the festive season, so many things come to mind.
The season for GIVING has never been more different… Life is busy!
In a lot of ways, we are all working smarter- not harder. BUT, we are overworked (or stretched from stress)!
We all seem to need so many things.
We want so much: for ourselves, and for our loved ones.
And, at this time of year, toward the end of another “big year”, even when we start to feel festive,
we want less overwhelm.
To calm “down”!
I’m dreaming of…
So, it is time: to STOP / PAUSE and, to become more ‘consciously aware’, of what others need. The list below has been put together, to inspire your Christmas shopping.
To choose well, and to give a gift, that is more:
- Helpful
- Eco-friendly
- Washable and re-usable
- Consumable
- Sustainable
- Free of ‘nasties’ (chemical ingredients)
- Personal / Rewarding
- Low-cost
- Local-friendly
Would you like less waste with that?
There are so many environmentally “thoughtful” and ethical options these days!
Consumable cruelty-free body products, plastic-free and re-usable or natural gifts, come in all sizes and varieties.
Here are some great ECO-FRIENDLY ideas:
Biodegradable Non-Plastic iPhone case; Fair Trade and organic cotton socks; Reusable “surf socks” (zero waste getting in and out of a wetsuit); vegan make-up and soap sets.
But, you know…
Not everything needs to come in a product shape or size.
To give a little bit more this year, and to make not only someone else feel great, you can reward yourself. Get creative or innovative. You can give to a good cause, or ‘Adopt – a – Pet’. You can rescue an animal from a shelter or a hospital.
Sometimes the best of gifts are those that are practical, yet meaningful.
No one ever turns away a gift, and even if it’s not suitable to the recipient, there is something even more socially rewarding that comes from “re-Gifting”
