Masks have been used in ceremony and ritual in all known cultures world wild – from ancient Greek theatre to the mountainous terrains of New Guinea, masks provided a means of expression from the depths of humanities Soul. They allow and encourage expression through a rich medium of shadow and light.

Bill Plotkin Ph.D the author of several books on a nature based approach to development, advanced the notion that many of the difficulties of contemporary western society stems from a lack of maturity. He developed a developmental map through which, humanity could navigate the trials and tribulations of being human.

KEY POINTS

By bringing these two areas – the Mask and the Developmental Map – together, a dynamic synthetise is given expressive life, is birthed into being. The process liberates the natural occurring process of individualisation to have its way – and for the trained professional to contextualise the experiential process within a solid theoretical framework.

This is a four part professional training beginning aligning with the four seasons. The first training begins with the masks of the Visionary.
The training is suitable for trainers, facilitators, therapists, counsellors, coaches, group workers, and those interested in transpersonal development.
