Qualification
- Current Diploma of Kinesiology holders: Receive CCM issued Structural Kinesiology Certification (56hrs CPE)
- Current Dip. of MBM students and graduates can use this stream towards obtaining a Diploma of Kinesiology
- Others: Receive a Certificate of Attainment

Subjects
Integrative Manual Therapy
Is an integrative approach to working with the physical body. It is a blend of hands-on corrections, assessments, and protocols to help the practitioner work with the physical body.
There is also a focus on developing your own palpations skills and presence as a practitioner.
Main areas taught
- Palpation skills – your presence as a practitioner with physical body work
- Core concepts when working with the body and neurological system
- Orthopaedic assessments
- Trigger point therapy
- Myofascial move (Bowen) with a link to fascial trains
- Joint mobilization- A gentle approach to working with key joints of the body
- Revision of dynamic structure.
- Hands on protocols for working with specific regions of the body
- Myofascial integration technique- neurologically and whole body
- Emotional motor system – a protocol using the physical body to treat the emotional motor system
- A basic intro to pain and performance and underlying concepts
- Further development of felt sense skills as a practitioner
A gentle approach for those clients who find it challenging to connect with their body, present with physical pain and /or have a history of trauma.
Functional Neurology for Kinesiologists
Is a combination of basic functional neurology assessments/ corrections and functional protocols in order to address posture, brain function, trauma, pain, and performance.
Its main focus is on the neurological system
Areas covered:
- Neurological assessments – Ocular (eyes) Vestibular cerebellum (balance, coordination, and spatial awareness)
- Cranial nerves theory and its links to the above
- Vagus nerve assessments and protocols (trauma informed approach)
- Protocols for
- Diaphragm (Breathing)
- Core stability
- Psoas/ Glutes
- General Integrative Balance for physical conditions
This module will give you a better understanding of how the neurological system impacts posture, pain and performance and ways to address it through protocols and client specific neurological exercises for home reinforcement. Complements Neurological approach module
